Work
The GCRFF is currently developing its activity across the three main workstreams:
Structure and governance
- Dr David Tancredi, President of the Leducq Foundation, is the current Chair of the GCRFF Executive Board.
- Professor Garry Jennings, Chief Medical Advisor at the National Heart Foundation of Australia, is Deputy Chair.
Each partner organisation is represented in the Executive Board by their respective chief executive and/or chief medical officers. They are supported by relevant staff from each funder where required.
The board determines the overall direction of the GCRFF. It oversees and approves work carried out under the GCRFF’s ongoing initiatives.
A secretariat within the British Heart Foundation provides administrative and logistic support.
Within each workstream, a leading partner coordinates work on specific initiatives by steering and working groups formed of representatives from participating funders.
Meetings
The GCRFF Executive Board meets twice a year in person and twice virtually.
Each workstream’s steering and working groups meet regularly throughout the year to progress work under the GCRFF’s various initiatives.
