Denise Collis: Chair of the Remuneration Committee

Denise Collis stepped down from Bupa, the global healthcare business, as Chief People Officer, at the end of 2014. After a long career in international Human Resource Management, she is now pursuing a new career as a non-executive director. 

Denise joined the board of Connect Group PLC in December 2015. Denise was appointed as Chair of the Remuneration Committee for the British Heart Foundation in March 2015, and is additionally a member of the Nominations Committee and Council. She is also Vice Chair of the International Advisory Board to Leeds University Business School, and an Advisory Board member of Exeter University Business School. 

Denise’s career commenced in Industrial Relations at Ford Motor Company, and has covered the manufacturing, financial services, professional services and healthcare sectors. The organisations she has worked with include Arthur Andersen, Midland Bank, HSBC James Capel, and Standard Chartered Bank. 

More recently, she was an equity partner at EY, and Group HR Director for 3i Group plc, the FTSE 100 private equity business. Denise is an English Literature graduate from Leeds University, holds a Diploma in Business Coaching, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
