A heartfelt thank you from everyone at the British Heart Foundation for taking part in this year’s jog on Sunday 23 September! The jog may be finished but you can keep raising money to help the BHF continue it’s life saving work within the community.

We were overwhelmed by the success of the first ever BHF St Albans Jog; it simply wouldn’t have been possible without you. Over 200 participants registered for our inaugural year and things were positively buzzing down in Verulamium Park. People were once again bustling to sign up at the last minute, and the sea of red t-shirts that filled the park during the warm up was truly inspiring. The live bands and music added to the atmosphere and it we were even lucky enough to have the BHF’s mascot, Hearty jogging out on the route! All in all it was an incredible success with corporate teams, families and individual participants coming out to enjoy the morning and support the BHF.

Many thanks also to the Right Worshipful the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the City and District of St Albans for supporting us and starting the jog.

We are hoping to raise nearly £20,000 from this year’s jog, so please do everything you can and together we can save lives through pioneering research, patient care and providing vital information. We’ll be accepting money for several months yet, so keep up the good work and thanks for all of your efforts.

Every penny counts, so try to ask friends, family, work colleagues or anyone else you can think of to sponsor you.

In case you didn’t already know, anyone who raises over £250 will receive a light grey hooded sweatshirt or a dark grey zip-up fleece. Check the back of your sponsor form for more details. Don’t worry if you’re raising money via our online sponsorship pages, we’ll be in touch if you qualify.

Finally, we would love to hear your thoughts about the day . Your feedback helps the BHF make events even bigger and better, so if you can spare a few minutes, we’d be grateful if you could click on the link below and answer a few simple questions.
