Flora London Marathon : The calm after the storm.

The day after the event, how do I feel? Well, fine in myself, but my legs feel completely shot. I had to slide down the stairs on my bum this morning, as walking didn't seem to be an option.

Yesterday was quite simply an amazing experience, and one I will absolutely never forget. The support of the crowds all the way along the route was absolutely awesome and they really do help to carry you along.

Running with my British Heart Foundation vest on, with my name emblazoned upon the front of it I got plenty of cheers and shouts of support. It was even funny when you could hear people go to cheer you on only to realise they had no idea how to pronounce my name. One guy even read it and shouted: "I.R.A? Boo!"

The conditions were near perfect, no wind, and a little light drizzle to keep you cool, and I set off from the start with great guns. The hardest thing I found was trying to hold myself back from running away faster than I s
