British Heart Foundation Shops’ Division was established in 1987 in the South East. Since 1987, the division has grown to over 500 shops throughout the UK.
We rely on the generosity of supporters who give us regular donations of items to sell, the time of volunteers to help run our shops and the increasing customer base – all of whom have helped the Shops’ Division contribute over £66 million since opening its doors.
Our shops provide a strong localised brand presence and a local point of contact for all supporters and passers-by, who are given the opportunity to make a difference, by volunteering, donating or becoming a customer.
Shops also act as local communication centres for the charity, providing the public with information about BHF National events, local fundraising events and leaflets on heart health and how to become a regular donor, as well as an opportunity to contribute money directly across the counter.
We have a strong volunteer base of
over 10,000 volunteers and we are
always looking at ways to increase our profits by continuously
recruiting more volunteers, gaining more customers and increasing
our donations to the shop.
