Factfiles
Factfiles are produced for GPs to give clear, concise and
up-to-date information on issues relating to heart health.
Factfile authors are experts
in their field and the text is reviewed by a panel of health
professionals to ensure that a balanced article is produced.
Factfile launched in 1985 and you can download
any issue produced from 1998 onwards as a PDF. Up to twelve issues
are published per year. Please note that some articles have been
superseded and older Factfiles may contain out of date
information.
Factfile is distributed to over
50,000 GPs. New GPs can be added to the mailing
list, and other health professionals are encouraged to download
issues to help us distribute them in a cost effective way.

Important: to find
Factfiles, go to Advanced Search and select
Factfile from the Format dropdown
menu. To find a Factfile on a particular
topic, enter a relevant keyword in the Search
Terms box. The system will then search within all
Factfiles to find issues associated with that
keyword.
Electronic version of Factfiles by email
As a responsible charity, we aim to reduce the amount of printed
materials wherever possible. So if you would like to receive your
Factfile by email please follow the instructions
below.
If you already receive a printed version of our
Factfiles, you will need your unique
Parbase ID number. You will find this on the last issue
that you were sent.
Log into the database by going to http://www.bhf-survey.com/
- here you can request to receive future Factfiles
by email.
If you are having difficulty locating your ID number, or if you
are registering for Factfiles for the first time,
