Infrastructure
Grants
The British Heart Foundation is
prepared to consider applications for up to £500,000 towards the
costs of providing essential infrastructure to support
cardiovascular science in any academic institution. These
awards will be accessible to all senior cardiovascular
scientists.
In applying for an award applicants will have to demonstrate
that a significant proportion (usually half) of the required funds
is available locally.
The grant could be used to support building refurbishment or to
buy major pieces of equipment to support the activities of several
cardiovascular scientists that could not usually be requested on
project or programme grants. The grant cannot be used for recurrent
expenses such as salaries or consumables.
Please write to the Medical Director or Research Funds Manager
with an outline proposal so that advice can be given on the timing
and mechanism for submitting a full application.
