Blood pressure
High blood pressure is just
one of the risk factors for developing heart
disease.
In England
32 per cent of men and 29 per cent of women have high
blood pressure or are being treated for high blood
pressure.
In Scotland
34 per cent of Scottish men and 31 per cent of Scottish
women have high blood pressure.
The
English region with the lowest number of men with high
blood pressure is the West Midlands, the highest number are found
in the East Midlands and Yorkshire and the Humber.
For women, the lowest levels are found in London, the South
East, South Central and South West and the highest levels are found
in the North East.
