Heart statistics publications
The
statistics in our publications are drawn from a variety of
sources.
Research published in surveys and
peer-reviewed journals is collated and adapted where necessary.
Information is also provided by the national statistics agencies of
the four countries of the United Kingdom and international health
organisations.
Every two years we publish a compendium of coronary heart
disease (CHD) and other health statistics, which includes detailed
analysis of disease in the UK, treatment, risk factors and
international comparisons. The 2012 edition has just been
published.
Updates to the compendium are available in
themed supplements. All of these publications can be
downloaded.
