Raising money
The British Heart Foundation receives most of its income from fundraising and legacies. It has been a record-breaking year for our shops, events, appeals and other fundraising activity, all thanks to the people who get involved, volunteer and support our efforts.
Incoming resources rose by 9%, to just over £99million. This year, £722,000 was raised online from our bhf.org.uk website. Our new events sponsorship system generated four times more income than the year before. Almost 4,000 people taking part in a BHF event or organising their own registered online and created a personalised sponsorship page.
