In particular we would like to thank Chris Ruane MP, Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Heart Disease and the Officers and Members who have supported the Group this year.

Professor Douglas Chamberlain, who stepped down as Chair of the BHF's ELS and Defibrillation Committee at the end of 2004. He has been an excellent support and inspiration to us.

Dr Alan Mackintosh who worked so hard as assessor of applications for BHF grants for defibrillators, stepping down in early 2005.

Naila Rahman, BHF heart failure nurse specialist, and all the other nurses who gave tremendous support to the Real Valentine Appeal 2005.

John Fisher, heart transplant patient, for his great support at the London marathon and London to Brighton Bike Ride.

The Ranulph Fiennes Healthy Hearts Appeal
