Genetic Nurses

Genetic Nurses care for patients with inherited heart conditions. Their role includes:

• providing support and information for patients and their families
• developing pathways into specialist services
• acting as a link between different professional teams
• providing age related support to relatives
• acting as a key contact for recently bereaved family members potentially at risk of sudden death
• coordinating cardiological investigations and sharing the results and the outcomes of diagnostic tests.
