Hearty Lives Dundee
Hearty Lives Dundee is a major £1.5 million programme to improve
the heart health of people living in Dundee. Working with NHS
Tayside over the next three years, the programme will:
- extend the Government's Keep Well health checks to people aged
40-44, so local people can take action to prevent themselves
getting heart disease earlier. An additional 4,500 people
will have access to the check.
- provide heart health checks in community settings, workplaces
and job centres
- work with Dundee services to address childhood obesity
- extend cardiac services to heart patients in the
community, so they do not have to travel to local hospitals
