Symptoms for heart conditions
Disease of the heart and circulation is an umbrella term
for several types of conditions including heart attacks, stroke and
disturbance to your heart's rhythm.
The symptoms you might experience will vary
depending on the type of disease.
Heart disease symptoms
Although there are many different types of heart condition with different symptoms, the
most common type is called coronary heart disease. The symptoms
of coronary heart disease include heart attack and angina.
Symptoms
- chest pain or
discomfort, which may spread to the arms, neck,
jaw, stomach or back
- a dull pain, ache or
'heavy' feeling in your chest
- chest pain or discomfort which feels like
indigestion but makes you feel generally
unwell
- feeling sick, sweaty,
breathless, lightheaded,
dizzy or generally unwell as well as pain or
discomfort in your chest.
It's important to remember that symptoms can
vary from one person to another. If you, or anyone

don't ignore them.
