Running manThe decorations are back in their boxes, the unwanted gifts have been dropped off at your nearest charity shop, and you're ready for a fresh start.

The fridge is stocked up with lettuce and low fat yoghurt, and you've rescued your running shoes from the back of your wardrobe.

Going back to work is the first major test of your willpower - that leftover tin of chocolates won't eat itself. So what if your colleagues are extra motivated to stay healthy too? Get them involved with our Health at Work programme.

Make small changes, for a big difference

Learn which small changes to your diet will really make a difference. Why not switch from full fat milk to skimmed or semi-skimmed milk? Choose leaner cuts of meat? Steam or grill foods rather than frying in lots of oil?

Just 30 minutes of moderate activity, five days a week is essential to maintain your heart health. Try a half hour brisk walk in your lunch break, or get off the bus a few stops early. The trick is to slot physical activity in wherever you can.
