Enjoy some of Italy's most spectacular scenery while scaling its three famous volcanoes!

This fantastic challenge starts in southern Italy with a visit to Pompeii where we will witness how the city was literally frozen in time. 

We then begin our volcano trek with the legendary Mount Vesuvius which stands majestically above the landscape surrounding Naples and is best known for the explosion that buried nearby Pompeii.

An overnight boatride to Stromboli is followed by a morning spent exploring the beautiful island.  Later in the day we start the steep trek to the crater rim of the volcano which dominates this small island. We arrive at the summit in time for sunset where we can admire the outstanding views and activity of the volcano against the night sky.

The following day, we take a hydrofoil trip across the water to the island of Sicily where we reach Mount Etna, our third and final volcano of the challenge - which also happens to be one of the most active volcanoes in the world! 

This incredible adventure culminates with a tough but spectacular trek up the smouldering slopes of Etna. We will be able to climb the area affected by recent volcanic eruptions ascending to one of the highest and most active craters. From here we make our way down the mountain side to the end of the trek and the finish line!
