‘‘Tis the season to raise lolly!''
Last year’s BHF Reading Santa Jog was a massive success story, with over 500 people turning up raising over £20,000 for the BHF! We think the 2009 Reading Santa Jog is going to be even bigger and better; a fantastic festive event which is sure to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. Participants can walk, jog or run 1,2 or 3 laps of the 2km (approx) course around Prospect Park – and we’re providing everyone who enters (aged 14 or over) with their very own Santa suit to do it in! Under 14’s are being encouraged to come along in festive fancy dress, and we’ll be awarding prizes for the best costumes.
Registration and entertainment will be open from 1.00pm, the jog itself starting at 2.30pm with a warm up session just before hand. The event is ideal for all ages and abilities, and is a great chance to join hundreds of others for some festive fun, whilst looking after your hearts. There’ll be lots of Christmassy things happening in and around the area on the day.
There is no minimum sponsorship requirement for the event but we are most grateful for all your fundraising efforts, which help the BHF to fund life-saving research and support for heart disease sufferers in the UK.
