This year, the Dark Peak Mountain Bike Challenge is back… but we're making some exciting changes so we'll be able to offer you three fantastic off-road rides!
Our three personal challenges get progressively harder, from a taster of the trails in the Dark Peak to a full on assault of all the best the area has to offer for a truly memorable (exhausting & exhilarating) day of riding.
All 3 routes will start and finish at Edale Village Hall.
Adventure Route: (approx 14 miles) A great introduction to the Dark Peaks, It may not be very long ride, but it'll still provide you with some technical rocky trails, big hills and wonderful views.
Advanced Route: (approx 23 miles) This route is suited to more experienced riders wanting to ride some of the more technical trails, taking in some of the Dark Peak classics. Expect big hills with loose rocks.
Extreme Route: (approx 34 miles) For very fit and competent riders only, this route peels off from our advanced route to include more tough climbs and fast technical descents and great views of Ladybower reservoir. The distance may not sound very far, but the hills and technical terrain will provide a very tough challenge. Conquer this and you’ll have earned ‘Elite’ status.

Please aim to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for this event, as every penny really does count.
Once registered you can set up your personal online sponsorship page which allows you to notify your friends and family of the event you are doing and allows them to sponsor you straight away. You are able to keep track of how much you’ve raised and who is supporting you. Remember to inform them about Gift Aid as for every £1 donated we can claim 28p extra from the Government at no extra cost to you or your sponsors.
