There are just a few days until the 2009 British Heart Foundation Gower Bike Ride. Our postal and online registration service has now closed but you will still be able to register on the day from 8am and will cost fifteen pounds for adults and five pounds for children.
The routes offer different distances for all level of abilities so come to join over 1300 other cyclists for the well great day out.
Choose from two routes, 16 and 29 miles around the beautiful Gower Peninsula. This year starting and finishing at the Recreation Ground on Mumbles Road ( next to St Helens ground), Swansea. The 16 mile route covers over half its distance on a cycle path whilst the 29 mile route ventures further West towards the stunning Gower Coastline.
You can start anytime between 9:00am and 10:00am but we do ask you to be back at the finish line by 4:00pm to collect your medal and goodie bag!
By registering in advance there will be no need to queue - just hand in your registration card and head straight out on the course to enjoy the splendid views and fun of the day. Higher fees will apply if you register on the day.

Under 12's - We would like everyone to be able to take part in our events, but as this ride takes place on main roads we do not feel it suitable for under 12's riding on their own bicycles. If you do choose to bring under-12's along we regret we will not be able to register them and cannot be held responsible for their safety during the event.
These entry fees cover the cost of organising and administering the event, it’s only through your sponsorship efforts that the British Heart Foundation benefits. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement for the event but thanks to your efforts in fundraising, together we can beat heart disease.
