The British Heart Foundation is proud to be working with Lloyds TSB as their Charity of the Year for 2008 to 2010.

The money raised by Lloyds TSB staff and customers will help fund 15 BHF Heart Nurses across the UK. The nurses offer vital care and support to heart patients and their families, helping people to come to terms with living with heart disease and improving their quality of life.

In the UK today, there are over 2.6 million patients living with coronary heart disease and only one BHF Heart Nurse for every 6,500 heart patients. 

We are committed to increasing the number of BHF Heart Nurses in the UK ensuring that heart patients receive the care they need – this commitment would not be possible without the support we receive from corporate supporters like Lloyds TSB.

Richard Cooper, Head of Corporate Responsibility at Lloyds TSB says:

"Lloyds TSB is delighted to be working with the BHF over the next two years. Together we hope to raise £2m through staff and customer fundraising which will help the many families whose lives have been touched by heart disease."
