How your company can help
Home Retail Group
Home Retail Group, owner of Homebase and Argos, chose the
BHF as its first ever group charity partner in a two year
relationship from July 2008 to July 2010.
The partnership, called 'Keeping Hearts Beating' raised a
staggering £3,192,674 - smashing its original target by over
£1 million.
Beating Heart Disease Together
Home Retail Group staff and customers have helped raise vital
funds for the BHF through;
- Staff fundraising - The success of the partnership lies with
the amazingly dedicated colleagues in stores, sites and offices and
the generosity of their customers. Colleagues truly embraced the
cause and held fundraising activities up and down the country.
- Cause Related Marketing & Point of Sale – sales promotions
on tomato plants, a rose bush and strawberry plants helped to bring
in an additional £60,000. Stores also sold a range of
products for the BHF including Trolley keyrings, Reindeer Food and
pin badges.
- The BIG Donation – in 2009 Home Retail Group colleagues
collected an outstanding 40,000 bags, the equivalent of over
£320,000 for BHF Shops
- Red for Heart – all stores and sites took part in BHF’s
National campaign, donning red outfits and selling heart-shaped pin
badges – helping the BHF to raise over £2.1 million in February
2009
