Donald Hamilton Fraser RA
Valentine
Silkscreen Print
Image Size: 410 x 570mm
Paper Size: 585 x 750mm
There is a special story behind Valentine by the late
Royal Academician Donald Hamilton Fraser.
Before he passed away, Fraser had been very keen to contribute
to the Mending Broken Hearts
Appeal, but sadly was unable to complete a piece.
With this in mind, Fraser's wife kindly suggested and gave
permission for a silkscreen to be made from a Valentine's
Day card that he had once painted for her, as she
felt that the image was highly appropriate. Fraser created a
Valentine's card for his wife every year of their sixty year
marriage.
