Challenge information

Length of challenge 11 days
Registration fee £399
Minimum sponsorship target £3,150
Cost of the ride (taken from the minimum sponsorship) £1,399*

We begin our ride at the gateway to the Mekong Delta and pass through thriving river communities and stilted villages. We pedal along narrow paths and lanes, past banana plantations and fields of sugar cane, staying overnight in small towns off the tourist trail.

The roads are peaceful, narrow and very pretty. There's plenty to see along the way; colourful Khmer temples and the pond of Ba Om. We'll visit a floating market to see the local farmers selling their produce from their boats.

On our way to Siem Reap we stop for a break at the ancient capital of Oudong Mountain where we can climb the steps to the summit and see the ancient royal temples, stupas and admire the wonderful view.

On the final day, we spend the day on our bikes exploring the incredible city of Angkor, embraced by tree roots and gigantic creepers. We'll see the tranquil Bayon with it’s multitude of serene stone faces, the impressive 350m long Terrace of the Elephants and the magnificent pièce de résistance, Angkor Wat.
