We’ll experience some of the most breath
taking scenery in South East Asia, timeless traditions, ancient
temples and the warmth of the local people. On arrival in Saigon,
we have time to explore this fascinating city - the heart and soul
of Vietnam.
The following day we begin the ride by heading
out of the city towards the Cu Chi Tunnels - an incredible
underground network used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam
War.
The route then takes us through rural villages
and past emerald green paddy fields towards the Vietnam / Cambodia
border at Moc Bai. En route we also have the opportunity to visit
the Caodai Great Temple - one of the most striking structures in
the whole of South East Asia.
Once into Cambodia, we cycle through arid
countryside on flat terrain through sleepy back waters reaching the
Mekong River at Neak Loung.
The final days of the ride see us cycling
though endless paddy fields and rubber plantations dotted with palm
trees ending up in Kompong Thom - a former French trading post on
the Mekong and the third largest city in Cambodia. Here we finish
and celebrate the end of this truly memorable ride.
