The adventure starts as we fly into Lukla set
deep into the mountains. We'll then trek through the homelands of
the Sherpa people, among their villages and monasteries, with
distant views of Everest and Ama Dablam.
We reach Base Camp - the stunning otherworldly
glacial environment of blue ice, and gaze on the terrifying Khumbu
icefall, the gateway to Everest, and cast our eyes on the world's
highest peak.
The next morning, we trek to the summit of
Kala Pattar (5,647m) for awe-inspiring views of the Khumbu Glacier,
Nuptse and the south-west face of Everest. We watch the sun as it
slowly rises behind Mount Everest, a truly magnificent sight that
will stay with you forever.
While previous trekking experience is not
required, please note that this challenge is strenuous and graded
as extreme due to the length of days trekking at high altitude.
At the highest point we reach 5,647m in
altitude. A high level of training and fitness is therefore
required. You will need to train for at least six months prior to
departure.
