Major gifts

Our fight against heart disease requires long-term investment. This is why the support we receive from individuals, charitable trusts and foundations is essential.

Heart pioneers

Mike and GemmaIf you give between £1,000 and £25,000 a year you become a Heart Pioneer. Your support as a Heart Pioneer could fund research; PHDs; young people's projects; prevention and care activity or our Mending Broken Hearts appeal.

Mike Daniels and Gemma Cockshott are Heart Pioneers and support our Mending Broken Hearts Appeal.

We are delighted and proud to be part of such an amazing programme

Mike and Gemma say, "We are delighted and proud to be part of such an amazing programme. The thought that such ground-breaking work could be possible in our lifetime makes you very humble."

Trusts and foundations

Your gift can support a specific project or you can choose to allow us to allocate it to where the need is greatest. Whichever option you choose, we will work closely with you ensuring you are kept informed of how your gift has made a difference.

Visit one of our labs

Several times a year, we arrange visits for small groups to BHF-funded research centres.

It’s a great opportunity to see the science in action, meet the researchers and learn more about their amazing work.
