Other ways to campaign

Become a case study

Many of our campaigners have their own personal experiences of heart disease and feel passionately about the issues we campaign on. Some have become patient representatives that attend events or case studies that we use for media work and on our website to inspire others to campaign with us. If you have a campaigning story to tell, send us an email.

Meet politicians

Many of our campaigners are active in setting up their own meetings with their local politicians to raise heart health issues that they’re concerned about.

If you’ve had a meeting or conversation with your local politician about anything related to heart health, or if you'd like to encourage them to join a cross party group on heart disease, send us an email and let us know.

As part of our tobacco campaign we sent Twickenham resident Ned, 15, to the Business Secretary's weekly surgery to deliver our petition to protect children from tobacco advertising. Watch Ned in action.

Lobby days

Before the last Westminster election, nearly 100 BHF campaigners joined us at Westminster. Many campaigners were able to meet with their local MPs and got them to support our pre-election campaign to put the UK’s single biggest killer, heart and circulatory disease, at the top of the UK Government’s agenda.

Campaigning Heart Support Groups

Some of our Heart Support Groups are active campaigners. They've done some excellent work fighting for better cardiac rehabilitation services in their local areas.
