The British Heart Foundation believes that to turn the tide of childhood obesity, junk food advertising that targets kids must be stopped.
We are demanding a complete ban on all forms of marketing of junk food to children. And we need your help.
Junk food manufacturers know how to push young people's buttons, which is why children under 16 spend £13 million on sweets and snacks each week in the UK.
Children face hundreds of advertising messages every day, not just on TV, but on the internet, in shops, on packaging, and in the texts they receive on their mobile phones. A lot of this advertising is designed to reach kids without their parents even knowing.
Our policy brief provides more details and outlines the solution that the BHF is proposing. The full Protecting Children Report can be found here
Sign the BHF petition - tell government you won't stand for irresponsible marketing to your kids.
