Gift of Hope Heart Funds are a wonderful way for family and friends to remember those who are sadly missed - while also supporting the BHF’s life-saving work.
Just over a year ago, a Fund was set up online as a lasting tribute to Alan Wood.
Harvey Levene, the founder of Alan’s Fund, says that the idea of being able to help others avoid the pain makes it such a worthwhile project, and at the same time keeps the memory of a loved one alive.
As Harvey explains: "It has given me personal hope, and a purpose, to help others who through lack of knowledge and resources, have gone through pain, suffering and anguish of waiting for surgery.
"There is positive hope through the wonderful work of the BHF that one day, coronary heart disease will be eradicated."
While the loss of a friend or relative can be devastating, Harvey’s testimony shows what a positive effect a Gift of Hope Heart Fund can have.
