MPs across the UK go red in the fight against heart
disease
Almost 50 MPs accepted our challenge in the first
ever BHF tweet-off to show their support for National Heart
Month.
In aid of National Heart Month, we
invited MPs across the country to a tweet-off at
Westminster so they could show off their support to their
followers. Forty nine MPs took up the
challenge and came along to the Houses of Parliament to take a
picture of themselves Rocking Up In
Red. Our politcians were then encouraged to
tweet their picture, asking their followers to retweet.
Andrew Jones, Harrogate and Knaresborough MP, was
today crowned our tweet-off winner with 56
retweets. Luciana Berger MP was a close
second with 51 retweets, while Andrew Gwynne MP took bronze with 30
retweets.
Everyone's tweets and retweets helped us to raise
awareness of the importance of National Heart Month and
the money it raises for our life-saving
work.
Maybe now you should find your local MP and make
sure they support us, too!
