De Vere raises an incredible amount of money celebrating
Burns Night
De Vere
Venues Wokefield Park, celebrated Burns Night by holding
a black tie charity dinner raising an incredible £80,650 for
us.
The evening included a live auction with lots of great
prizes including; a trip to Europe courtesy of British Airways, a
supercar for the weekend and a luxury golf trip for four at the De
Vere Cameron House Resort. As well as the auction lots, De Vere
also held a ‘Mini at midnight’ raffle which offered the winner a
brand new Mini Cooper.
Hale and Pace comedy star, Gareth Hale, attended the event on
behalf of the BHF.

Gareth said: “The BHF
is a cause very close to my heart. Having had a procedure to
replace a faulty valve myself, I know how important it is to
fundraise and support the BHF to ensure
they can continue their vital work. I thoroughly enjoyed the event
and it was fantastic to see De Vere Venues Wokefield Park raise
such a huge amount of money for the nation’s heart charity.”
Andrew Coppel, CBE, Group Chief Executive of the De Vere Group,
said: “We are thrilled to have raised funds for our Charity of the Year partner, the BHF, and we
know that the money will support truly life-saving work. We would
like to say a huge thank you to our guests who contributed largely
to the money that was raised for the BHF. The team at De Vere
Venues Wokefield Park put everything behind our annual Burns Night
charity event and it evidently paid off, as it was definitely the
best yet!”
The De Vere Group employees are working together to raise
vital funds and to generate awareness of heart disease and how to
prevent it. Employees and customers across the UK have so far
raised £100,000 for the BHF.
