Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt is Rocking Up In
Red
We
are very pleased to have heartfelt support from rock
legend, Rick Parfitt, rhythm guitarist for UK band
Status Quo, who is Rocking Up In Red for us this February.
Rick has a close link to the cause and is supporting our
life-saving work by Rocking Up In Red
on the Friday 1 February.
I suffered a heart attack last year, so this is a subject matter that is very important to me
Rick says: “I’m proud
to be
Rocking Up In Red on Friday 1
February to support such a vital cause.
I suffered a heart
attack last year, so this is a subject matter that is very
important to me. I hope that people around the country will join me
in raising money to support the BHF in the life-saving work it
carries out.
Myself and the band will be doing our bit, I’ll be wearing red
sweatbands and sunnies whilst I strum on my red guitar. It’s
just really easy to do and every £2 goes towards beating the UK’s
single biggest killer. Get out that red tie, red t-shirt or that
crazy pair of red leather trousers, as long as it rocks and
it’s red, it’s right on!”
You can get alongside Rick and Mollie
King from the Saturdays and help to give heart disease the boot
on Friday 1 February. There is still time to organise a Rock Up In Red event at your work,
home, school or with friends and it's so easy to do.
