A third of people are now storing more entertainment items
online
A
third of people [36%] are now storing more of their books, music
and films online and one in four [26%] have downloaded one of those
items in the last month, according to a new survey from our
Shops.
Almost half of people [45%] say they have an entertainment
collection of over 200 items, yet almost a quarter [23%] admit they
haven’t looked at any of these items lately. Half of people [49%]
revealed that they are keen to get rid of their unwanted
hard copies.
As part of the BIG Entertainment stock
appeal this month, our Shops are encouraging people
to take a look through their collection and lose
the things they don’t love anymore. We love the things you
bring and are always looking for saleable items.
Actress and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Anita Dobson, has joined in this year’s
campaign by clearing out her entertainment collection and
donating unwanted books, CDs and DVDs. BHF Shops are
hoping people will follow suit this month.
Retail Director, Mike Taylor, says: “If you haven’t touched your
book collection for months or you’ve replaced your CDs with MP3s,
it’s time to donate! We love the things you
bring; your donations are the lifeblood of our Shops and
every item helps us continue our lifesaving work.”
So delve into your collection, have a clear out and play
your part in the BIG Entertainment appeal by donating to
your local BHF shop today!
