Recycle and save lives

Donating small electricalsDid you know that this week is Recycling Week and you can save lives by getting involved?

Take your bag of clothes to one of our 700 shops or recycle your old phones and ink cartridges to support our life-saving work. Here’s how:

You can recycle your old phones and ink cartridges through our partner, the Recycling Factory, who will donate up to £4.50 to our life-saving work for every printer cartridge that can be successfully recycled and between £5 and £30 for every mobile phone that can be successfully recycled.

There are an estimated 90 million redundant mobile phones in cupboards and drawers across the UK – most of which end up in landfill sites which are harmful to the environment. And of the 65 million printer cartridges sold each year, only an estimated 15% are recycled or reused. By recycling your mobile phone and printer cartridges not only will you be helping to save and improve the lives of those affected by heart disease, you’ll be helping the environment too.
