Gloucester store urgently seeking furnishings

British Heart Foundation Chief Executive urges residents to support new Furniture & Electrical Store

British Heart Foundation Furniture & Electrical Stores are urgently appealing to local residents in Gloucester to donate any good quality, unwanted Furniture and Electrical items to the new store, due to open in July – all of which will help the charity fight heart disease, which remains the UK's single biggest killer.

Previous donations to other stores have included popular household items such as suites, sofas and chairs, dining sets, beds, wardrobes and occasional furniture plus an array of electrical items including TVs, hi-fis, washing machines, fridges and dishwashers.

Last year BHF Shops raised over £14 million for the nation's heart charity, helping thousands of vulnerable heart patients across the country. Donations, which are vital to the charity, are desperately needed. BHF Furniture & Electrical Shops Chief Executive Ken Blair is calling on the public to have a clear out to help save lives.

The BHF Furniture & Electrical Store, which open in early July and is located in Northgate Street, Gloucester, is in need of good quality items to sell, Ken explains:

"We absolutely rely on the support of the local community to keep us running and without their vital donations, we risk reducing the care and support available to vulnerable heart patients across the country.

"For people redecorating, moving house or simply having a clear out, donating to their local BHF Furniture & Electrical Store is a great way to get rid of excess items and they would be helping to save lives, it really is as simple as that. The local F & E store offers free collection of donated goods. Please help us beat heart disease together and donate your unwanted items to your local BHF Furniture & Electrical Store."
