Generosity across the generations
Almost half of our income comes from gifts left to us in Wills - we really would be lost without them.

"The BHF was very supportive and our experience made me realise the importance of the Charity's work. I'm going red for Molly and all other children born with congenital heart defects."
Why not help us reach even more young people by getting your local school involved?

We never forget that our work is only made possible by the generosity of thousands of supporters across the UK - whether it's in the form of individual donations, legacies, sponsored events or large-scale corporate partnerships.
'Energy and dedication'
Nothing typifies the sheer variety of ways you can raise funds more than this year's National Heart Month, when thousands of people across the nation went Red for Heart.
As always, the aim was to raise both funds and awareness by tapping into the energy and dedication of our supporters in all kinds of imaginative ways.
Rachel Wylde was one of those who took part. When her daughter Molly was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect as a newborn baby, Rachel relied on the BHF for a lot of information and support. Since then, the whole family have been great supporters of our cause. As part of our Red for Heart month, they hosted a red party, complete with red foods, red outfits and a red raffle.
Meanwhile, Red for Heart acted as a great focal point for some larger-scale corporate partnerships, including the Home Retail Group and Lloyds Banking Group, where staff got involved in wear-red-to-work days and a lot more besides.
We see National Heart Month as a great way to focus people's attention on heart health. Red for Heart has really caught people's imaginations, with big celebrity and media backing.
We're also delighted by the support our corporate partners, like Home Retail Group and Lloyds Banking Group, gave to the campaign.
Meanwhile, Rachel Wylde has decided to run the London Marathon to raise even more money for the BHF. Thousands more are pledging to help in future. We owe them all a massive thank you - our work would simply not be possible without them.
