The BHF is reaching - and helping - more and more people through the internet. In 2007, we launched our revamped website which received more than 5,740,000 visits in 2007/8 and generated over £3.2 million for the fight against heart disease.
The site provides information on heart disease, and how to keep your heart healthy. There's the latest news on our research, fundraising events, and campaigns, and how to get involved or donate to our life-saving cause. You'll find great gifts at our online shop and you can order any of our hundreds of resources in print or on DVD.
In 2007, we launched our cardiac rehabilitation campaign video on YouTube and a BHF presence on Facebook for the Valentine Appeal - and we're looking forward to hearing from you on the new BHF Blog. Young people are great surfers, and Food4Thought, our online campaign about the dangers of junk food, has received 750,000 visits since September. And now a new dedicated microsite for teenagers at yheart.net helps them find out about their hearts and the importance of a healthy diet and exercise - and have fun doing it.
There's lots that's new, exciting and inspiring, so go ahead - make the connection at bhf.org.uk
