The aim of the Fundraising Division is to grow year on year income and protect and grow longer term legacy income. We achieve this through our team of fundraisers based all across the UK.

Fundraising Volunteer Manager (East Region)

I have been working for the BHF for nearly four years. I'm home-based, raising funds and recruiting volunteers from a wide-ranging, diverse area.

Dull it isn't! I thrive on the variety, the challenge and most of all, the wonderful people I meet every day.

I feel extremely privileged when members of the public share their sad loss with me, or heart patients who rejoice because they feel well again, and offer their help with fundraising. It's their way of putting something back.

I have been working in the Corporate Partnerships team for 18 months, developing relationships to raise money and awareness for BHF's live saving work through companies, their employees and customers.

Corporate partnerships is a fascinating and constantly developing area for a fundraising career. The scope of BHF's work is so wide that BHF are able to work with businesses to help meet their corporate social responsibility objectives, help sell products and build brands but also improve the health and wellbeing of staff and customers.

For me, every day is different with the opportunity to work with an exciting variety of businesses - built on the enthusiasm and skills of colleagues within BHF.

I have worked for BHF for 11 years in the administration of community/volunteer fundraising in Birmingham.

Since I started in 1997 I can honestly say I have never had a moment’s boredom, there is so much to do and I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of my job, particularly liaising and working with our wonderful volunteers.

If you could “wear” a job, I would say this one fits me perfectly!
