Welcome to BHF Cymru

Every year, heart and circulatory disease
claims over 11,000 lives in Wales. That’s 30 people being
taken from their families every day.
BHF Cymru is dedicated to saving lives by
providing vital information that helps people reduce their own
heart health risk and by supporting and caring for heart
patients.
Thanks to the tenacity and enthusiasm of our
supporters and volunteers in Wales, we have;
- Invested nearly £5 million
on pioneering research
at the Wales Heart Research Institute and Cardiff University
- Invested over £63,117
for Emergency Lifesaving Skills schemes last
year
- Spent over £140,000 on
lifesaving cardiac equipment for use in hospitals
and in communities
- We are currently investing £420,000 to fund
38 specialist BHF Heart Nurses in hospitals and
communities throughout Wales.
Help our local appeals
We're committed to increasing the number of
heart nurses within Wales, and the number of heart patients who
have their support. We launched several local nurse appeals to
raise money for our new nurses across Wales.
Take part in our events
We also have many exciting events in Wales
trhough the year.
Volunteer in Wales
Volunteering for BHF Cymru is a great way to
gain new skills, to meet new friends, and to know that you are
making a real difference to beating heart disease in Wales.
