Welcome to BHF Northern
Ireland
Along with our supporters we are working hard
to raise funds for life-saving research and better care for people
living with heart disease in Northern Ireland.
We are currently spending over
£440,000 on pioneering research. We also provide
funding for life-saving cardiac care equipment, especially
defibrillators, for hospitals, GPs, emergency services and other
qualified groups in the community.
BHF Northern Ireland relies on donations from
the public. Members of our Limavady Branch give their time and
energy to raise funds, while other BHF Northern Ireland volunteers
help co-ordinate fundraising in their communities.
Greater numbers of people in Northern Ireland
are living with heart disease and, for some at least, we can help
reduce the pain and anxiety that they have to cope with.
There are 19
full time BHF Heart Nurses posts providing care
and support to people with heart problems and their families and
their carers.
2010 appeals
Currently we have one local appeal running in
Northern Ireland. The appeal aims to raise money to fund
Heart Failure Specialist Nurses in Northern
Ireland. To find out more see our local appeals.
