I spend my working day surrounded by committed and enthusiastic people who share the vision
Educated at East Barnet
Grammar School in North London, he then studied at Hertford
College, Oxford, where he gained a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Chemistry.
His interests include music - particularly opera - and European
history.
Peter says:
"More people in the UK die from heart and
circulatory disease than any other condition and over two and a
half million people have their lives blighted from having to live
with heart disease.
"I spend my working day surrounded by
committed and enthusiastic people who share the vision. It's a
privilege to work with them and the many beneficiaries of our work
whom I meet.
"I'd spent over 30 years as a senior
manager or director in some very tough environments before joining
BHF, but I'm not ashamed to admit that in meeting some of the
people our work has helped, I've had more lumps in my throat and
damp eyes, than in the whole of the rest of my life."
