Create a buzz around your workplace
The summer months are a great time to go outside, get some
fresh air and be active.
Employees can take advantage of the
good weather during the day, take a break and come back feeling
refreshed.
If you make available some simple
activity or sports equipment, employees can have lots of fun. They
can go out at times convenient to them, or organise a day and time
to meet to play. You can offer taster sessions to encourage
employees to have a go and meet new people.
Ideas for summer activities include:
•
frisbee
• kite-flying
•
softball
• rounders
•
tennis
• volleyball
•
football
• walking.
With more daylight after work there is
plenty of time to be active and sociable too. Organise a summer fun
event and introduce a fun, competitive element. You could organise
a softball, rounders or volleyball game or tournament. Those who
don’t want to play can have a role such as team manager, coach or
be responsible for refreshments for the team. Everyone can get
involved.
