We're proud to announce our second annual Manchester to Blackpool
Night Ride, taking place on 29 and 30 September 2012. Starting at
the bustling Trafford Centre, the ride winds out towards Preston,
where you slowly descend towards the sea in time for sunrise by
beautiful Blackpool Tower. Blackpool Council has kindly agreed to
leave the Illuminations on for us, giving you a finish to
remember!
Last year over 650 cyclists shone a light on heart disease, led by
Manchester actress Gemma Atkinson, and this year we need you to
join us and make the 2012 event even bigger and better. This
exclusive event has a limited number of entries so make sure you
register soon to confirm your place at our second annual Northern
Night Ride!

Want a bit more support?
We know that cycling 52
miles at night is a challenge. Our whole route will be marshalled
and signed, but if you want a little bit more support, why not join
our group-led ride? Local ride leaders will be
assisting any riders who would like to ride the full distance with
their expert, qualified ride leaders to provide support and
camaraderie along the way. The group-led ride will start at 1.30am
and will cycle at the pace most comfortable for the whole group. To
join this group of like-minded people and cycle please select “yes”
when asked about joining our Group-Led ride in the registration
process.
Anything else I need to know?
• You must use bike lights when taking part in the Night Ride. We
also strongly advised you to wear a helmet and reflective
gear.
• You must be 18 or over on Saturday 29 September 2012 to
participate.
• The route is fully signed and marshalled.
• There will be three rest stations on the way to Blackpool,
to recharge your light batteries and grab a snack to
recharge your legs!
