More information...
Starting from Hope Valley College, this event gives you
the choice of four exciting routes offering varying levels of
difficulty for a great day of mountain biking – from a taster of
the trails in the Dark Peak to a full on assault of all the best
the area has to offer for a memorable, exhausting and exhilarating
day of biking.
The Routes:
Adventure Route (approx 14 miles)
A great introduction to the Dark Peaks. Although this is our
shortest route, it will still provide you with some technical rocky
trails, big hills and wonderful views.
Advanced Route (approx 23 miles)
This route is suited to more experienced riders wanting to ride
some of the more technical trails, taking in some of the Dark Peak
classics. Expect big hills and loose rocks.
Extreme Route (approx 34 miles)
For very fit and competent riders only. You'll peel off from our
advanced route to conquer tougher climbs, fast technical descents
and great views of Ladybower reservoir. With 34 miles of steep
hills and technical terrain, this really is a tough
challenge.
Ultimate Route (approx 40 miles)
New for 2010: For those that want to push themselves to the limit.
You'll extend the Extreme Route by an extra 6 miles to test your
legs by climbing even higher then test your head for speed, with a
super fast descent. This is the Ultimate!
Anything else I need to know?
•All riders must wear a cycle helmet.
•The route is fully signed and marshalled.
