Stress at work to rise

Work-related stress is likely to rise over the next 5 years according to a recent study.

Job-related stress is a concern for the large majority of the European workforce. The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) collected data from 35,000 EU citizens in 36 European countries on workplace health. Eight in ten (80%) respondents across Europe reported they think job-stressrelated stress will increase over the next five years.

The results echo the findings of EU-OSHA's survey on new and emerging workplace risks showing that 79% of managers think stress is an issue in their companies. This makes stress at work as important as workplace accidents for companies.
