Who do you need?

Co-ordinatortraining, group, discussion

The success of any physical activity initiative is often down to a champion who takes on the role of co-ordinator. This person starts the ball rolling and acts as a driving force once the programme is up and running.

Management

It is important to get management interested in your programme as early as possible. Gain their support and commitment from the start.

Management teams are able to make changes within an organisation and influence employees.

Support group

It is very difficult for one person to do all the work when organising activities. It's important for the co-ordinator to form a support group made up of representatives from all levels across the workplace.

The group should meet on a regular basis to maintain momentum and progress.

Champions

There are often very talented people within every workplace who are willing to share their skills and help organise or deliver initiatives - for example a qualified yoga teacher or high level sports player.

Encourage these employees to share their skills and enthusiasm for their particular activity. You'll spread the workload and create a feeling of ownership across the organisation.
