Research Working Group

The CVC commissioned York Health Economics Consortium to produce an independent research review, Cardiovascular Disease in England: Opportunities and Challenges Over the Next Ten Years. The research was completed in April 2008.

The review analyses the opportunities and challenges facing cardiovascular prevention, diagnosis and care. It is intended to assist the Coalition identify priorities for future activities to support people living with cardiovascular disease.

The Research features:

- Literature review

- The development of a model intended to show how changes in demographic and epidemiological trends influence cardiovascular services

- Interviews with experts

- Survey of family members of people with cardiovascular conditions, including carers.
