The greatest challenge is uptake and inequality of provision

Priorities

  1. To campaign for a properly funded service by 2011
  2. To ensure the implementation of the NICE CR guidance by the end of 2010
  3. To develop a wider range of educational programmes and professional training for new and existing rehabilitation practitioners
  4. To work with the BCS, BHF, Heart Care Partnership (UK) and the NHS to ensure that patients get the best evidence based service possible
  5. To audit CR services annually via the NACR

The greatest challenge is uptake and inequality of provision:

The 2008 national audit of CR (NACR 2008) showed that the uptake for CR is, at best, modest for most patient group and more needs to be done to ensure a more equitable provision.
